Hanking

We begin with stillness. The yarn is gathered into hanks by hand, preserving softness and preparing it for the journey ahead.

Warping

Long strands are stretched and aligned with precision. Warping lays the structural foundation for every piece we create.

Beaming

The warp is rolled onto the loom’s beam with even tension. This balance ensures the fabric weaves smoothly and beautifully.

Drafting & Denting

Each thread is passed through heddles and reeds. This stage defines the density, design, and flow of the final weave.

Bobbining

While the loom is dressed, the weft is prepared. Yarn is wound onto bobbins, ready to be woven into the fabric line by line.

Weaving

This is where the cloth takes form. With each pass of the shuttle, softness grows, slowly, intentionally, by hand.

Mending

After weaving, every detail is examined. Imperfections are repaired with a needle and thread, ensuring nothing is overlooked.

Dyeing

Our dyeing process is slow and steady, allowing color to absorb deeply and evenly. The result is natural, rich tone that lasts.

Edge Finishing (Jali, Tassels, Borders, Stitching)

Finishing touches are added by hand, from fine jali detailing to twisted tassels and stitched borders. Each edge is a signature.

Checking

Every piece is carefully checked for quality with eyes, hands, and experience. No machine can match this level of care.

Ironing

A final press smooths the fabric and sets the weave. The cloth is now relaxed, softened, and ready to be folded.

Labelling & Packing

Each item is labeled and packed with care, carrying the story of its making from our workshop in Kathmandu to the world.
